Searchable, or just text
OCR gives a searchable PDF that looks like the scan, or plain text — at Fast, Balanced or Accurate.

One language
Pick the language most of the document is in; that's what the reader looks for.

Which PDF/A?
1a to 3u are all there. Use the level you were asked for; if no one said, PDF/A-2b is the common choice.

Repair, lightly first
Light changes the least; try Standard, then Aggressive. Pages whose data is gone can't be brought back.

Flatten redraws
Each page is drawn again as an image, so forms and notes can't change — and its text can't be selected.

English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, two kinds of Chinese, Arabic, Hindi and Tamil.
Should I keep the original after flattening?
Yes, if you'll need to search or copy its text again.
Is it free?
Flatten PDF runs in your browser, free. OCR PDF, PDF to PDF/A and Repair PDF run on a server, so they're part of Cloud Pro (100 cloud runs a month, files up to 100 MB).
Are my files uploaded?
For OCR PDF, PDF to PDF/A and Repair PDF, yes — after you sign in, and the result is saved to your FyDrive, where you can delete it. Flatten PDF keeps the file on your machine.
